Since the PCT are intending to invite tenders from other organisations interested in providing a service to run a user led wellness recovery centre, and to work with service users to develop a detailed model for the new centre, I propose that we, Pacing the Cage as we are not an organisation yet – ask Consumer Consultancy to tender for the above contract as we have proved that we can work well with them.
If and when Pacing the Cage, or another user run alliance, becomes an organisation in its own right we should be able to run our own centre as originally proposed.
Please submit your comments on this idea as we are in danger of the PCT taking the project off of us and losing any influence over it, even though it was we that recommended it.
